An update to a 2015 build

My 16th build in which I completed in Dec. 2015 has just been sitting around & not getting much play time. It also needed some re-enforcement of the neck as the action was a bit high near the box. So I opened it up, added some internal bracing & decided to do a vintage finish on it. I also changed out the tuners as one had a loose gear. These all wood PADRON boxes have great tone.

A short demo:

Here's the original posting at the time of the build:

Re-labeled for the modern world......

Moving forward in the modern world, I've decided to rename my future CBG builds. My previous name may offend some (although I've never heard about it) BUT it's intention was to pay homage to the origins of the cigar box guitar. I have a deep admiration of the players & music that came to light nearly a hundred years ago from the deep south. For it was there...that nearly all music in this country was rooted. To this day, I still search for recordings I've never heard & get quite excited to find!

My old site will still be alive...but without further posts:
